Draco was bored as heck. He didn't know how much more of this he could take. Jeez. Hogwarts was boring this year. He has only seen four of his Slytherin 'friends' If you think that is a lot, you are wrong, my friend. It was like the school was deserted or something. Well, Draco saw everybody who attended the school at the feast, so the school wasn't deserted. But, where were all those people now. It's like they are playing one big game of hide and seek, and Draco is the seeker.
Draco finally was bored over his head and left the common room with a start. He couldn't take it. He needed someone to talk to. Anyone. Just someone had to be there, in profile with him, and carrying a good conversation. Draco didn't care what house or how old. As long as they were in an interesting conversation, he was happy.
Draco made his way to the Forbidden Forest. He and the forest haven't had many great encounters. He has really only been in here once or twice, that is all, and he knew he hated it. But now, out of boredom, Draco was going to face his fears. He was going to enter the forest.
Draco walked over to the forest's edge and peered in. There seemed to be no dangerous creature, which was a good sign. Draco put his foot out, and stepped in. This wasn't bad. Of course, he was only half way in. Draco took another step, this time he was two steps into the forest. He was making progress.
...Okay, right now, he is acting weird. Draco fears nothing. Well, he fears very little. Some little forest is nothing to be afraid of. Draco walked deeper into the forest. He was now, a fair amount of the way in. He could see the grounds, but he was probably a good30 yards away.
Draco looked around. What was he to do now? He hadn't planned this far in advance. He was in the forest, now what? Draco sat down and leaned his back against the tree. Maybe someone he knew would come by for some odd reason. Draco sighed. That was hoping too much. Or was it...

Strolling along in the beautimous Forbidden Forest, Daphne was pondering some random, useless facts. For one, why was the Forbidden Forest forbidden? It wasn't scary at all. Not frightening, not unpredictable. In fact, it was surprisingly cheerful, and calm enough to satisfy Daphne's needs. And, in all her six years at Hogwarts, there hadn't been any monster sightings on her behalf. No werewolves or any of that sort. It was usually only herself and barely any sounds. Sometimes, on sunny, bright days, there would be birdsong. But, most occasions, it was just Daphne's thoughts and the crunching of underbrush beneath her feet that she seemed to hear.
But today, there was another sound. A most surprising one indeed. Another's crunching footsteps echoed her own. There were now two faces of Daphne. The curious one wanted to find out who it was. The other was scared. Who else could be out here? Not many liked to venture in the murky depths of the Forbidden Forest. Of course, she wasn't too far into the thick woods, but it was still about thirty yards. The internal battle raged inside of her. Should she investigate further or stay put where she was? After only a few hesitant moments, the more spontaneous side of her won. How bad can it be? I'm pretty skilled with a wand, and plus, I have the cute charm on my side as well.
Shrugging her way through closely-packed branches she stumbled into a clearing. The sight of the other person surprised her. Draco Malfoy? What's he doing here? Isn't he afraid of the forest? Deciding to have some fun at least, on her behalf, Daphne crept silently over the flattened grass. She even surprised herself with her stealth. Finally reaching the tree on which Draco leant on, Daphne tapped him smartly on the shoulder and jumped out. "Heya Drakie! Did I scare you?" Starting to giggle profusely, Daphne crossed her arms, loving the look on his face.

Draco heard the sound of footsteps. He suddenly went stiff. He didn't know what was there, and didn't exactly plan on finding out. Draco didn't dare turn around to see who was there. He just started to breath deeply and hoped whatever it was, it would just pass by. Draco held onto his wand though, just incase.
The footsteps went away... Where'd they go? He didn't want to turn around, that could be his biggest mistake. So, he just kept looking straight forward, too afraid to make any movement. Something was after him. He could sense it. This could be his last seconds to live. What would the world dp without him. ...Okay, his thoughts were getting a little carried away. He knew going into the forest was a bad idea.
Then, something touched his shoulder. He went stiff again. Draco bit his lip and closed his eyes, His wand was pointing outwards. However, once he heard a familiar voice, he relaxed. Daphne Greengrass. Draco wasn't very happy right now. He stood up and walked over to a different tree and leaned against it, his arms crossed over his chest. "No." He lied.

Laughing at Draco's attempt at nonchalance, Daphne walked slowly over to where he had repositioned himself. Sitting down cross-leffed beside him, Daphne smiled innocently. "I'm sorry. I know you're probably not very happy with me right now. And even though that was very fun," Very very very fun, she mentally corrected, "It probably wasn't very funny to you. So, yeah, I'm sorry." Crossing her fingers behind her back all the while, she flashed another cheeky little smile. "Forgive me?"
Taking her hand from behind her, she looked down as she smoothed down her jeans. Right now, she had on some dark, long jeans, a black shirt with faded red writing, which said, "333, I'm half a devil", and her hair was up in a messy bun. She had on some blue beads, and black hoops. Looking down at her fingers, she pretended to examine her nails while she waited for Draco's voice, bestowing his good favor back onto her.

Draco looked down at Daphne with a small glare. He was clearly thing about it. She had frightened him. That was not only embarrassing, but also frightening. Draco sighed and sat down. "Fine." He paused. "But, don't do it again." He added quickly. Draco hated being afraid. He is afraid of very few things, but being afraid of them is something he could live without.
Draco looked around to see if anyone saw Daphne scare him, then back at Daphne once he told himself no one else was in here. "Why are you in here anyway?" He asked curiously. He has always wondered why people went in here. It's not like there was anything to do. It was just trees and man-easting creatures. Okay, maybe not man-eating creatures. But, there are some really dangerous ones.

"I will try my very hardest not to do it again," Daphne said, sighing, "But, you know, it's awfully hard to resist a temptation like that, especially since I rarely ever get to surprise slash frighten you." Shrugging, she smiled cheekily.
She raised her eyebrows, calculating her answer. She wasn't quite ready with an answer. "Why am I here? I don't quite know. I always come here. Some people think it's scary, but I find it quite serene and calming." Fingering a blade of grass back and forth, she wasn't even too sure why she was here this time. "I think I'm here, just because I come here to think, and I need to get away from school. What about you? I've never ever seen a single, solitary soul here on my previous visits."
